Nataf is the captain and chief head of the French National Team.

From 2002 started working with Teimour Radjabov, he was behind most of the theoretical work and contributed to Teimour's understanding of the King's Indian defense.

While working together, Radjabov reached many successes, Bronze medalist of the FIDE World Championship (Libya 2004), winner of Wijk aan Zee 2007 supertournament, Winner of the World Rapid Cup 2008, Three times European Team Champion, 5 times European Club Cup Champion, achieved his best rating ever (2793), Candidates tournament and a 4th place in the World Ranking list.
